Hurricane Milton Evacuees Observe Yom Kippur In South Florida

Jews displaced by Hurricane Milton turning to South Florida synagogues this Yom Kippur. Jeff Jacob, Executive Director of Temple Beth El in Hollywood, says they're opening their doors to anyone in need. The temple is ramping up security for services tonight and tomorrow. Security guards will be checking bags, and anyone who is not a member or does not have a ticket, will be asked to show a photo ID. Yom Kippur, also known as the day of atonement, starts at sundown.
