Tijuana Flats filing for bankruptcy, closing multiple South Florida locations. A total of 11 of the Florida-based restaurants were closed, with 9 of those being in South Florida.

The fast-casual Tex-Mex restaurant chain was founded in 1995 in Winter Park and is now owned by Flatheads, LLC.

The company used a unit-by-unit analysis of financial performance, occupancy costs, and market conditions to decide which locations to close.

20401 State Road 7, West Boca Raton

2089 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, West Palm Beach

There are 65 company-owned locations throughout the state and 26 franchised restaurants in Florida, Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee.
