Alligators don't swim in the ocean...well not typically.
An aerial photographer who was hoping to catch some footage of blacktip sharks in the waters near the Jupiter Inlet Saturday captured something else.
Nick Serrano shared video of an 8 to 10 foot gator swimming in the surf off Jupiter Island.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the reptiles can swim in and tolerate salt water for a short period of time.
In fact, a 12-foot gator was captured in the surf off Delray Beach a couple of months ago.
